Quadrivalent Flu Vaccine
The quadrivalent influenza (flu) vaccine is designed to protect against four different flu viruses, including two influenza A viruses and two influenza B viruses This is recommended for everyone age 6 months and older.
High-Dose Flu Vaccine
The high-dose is a four-ingredient (quadrivalent) flu vaccine approved for people 65 years and older. The high-dose vaccine contains four times the antigen, the part of the vaccine that helps your body build up protection against flu viruses, as compared to the standard-dose vaccines. The higher dose of antigen in the vaccine is intended to give older people a better immune response, and therefore, better protection against flu.

Getting a flu vaccine is more important than ever during 2021-2022 to protect yourself and the people around you from flu, and to help reduce the strain on healthcare systems responding to the COVID-19 pandemic.
For more than 50 years, hundreds of millions of Americans have safely received seasonal flu vaccines. Vaccines, like any medicine, can have side effects. Many people who get an annual flu vaccine have no side effects at all. Most side effects from flu vaccination are mild and go away on their own in a few days without any treatment. You should talk to your doctor before getting a vaccine if you are allergic to any ingredients in the vaccine, have had Guillain-Barre syndrome, or are not feeling well.
The CDC and the FDA closely monitor the safety of vaccines approved for use in the United States. Findings from vaccine safety monitoring systems and scientific studies have shown that flu vaccines have a great safety record. There is no evidence that getting a flu vaccination increases your risk of getting sick from a coronavirus, like the one that causes COVID-19. {Source: cdc.gov}
